FPGA Core Design

A main R&D tool in modern system design is the use of field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs). These allow the rapid transition of conceptual designs into operational platforms or fully functional products.

HCDC has developed various key core components which can be reused or adapted to new design challenges. We have built channel emulators, noise sources, and basic communications systems blocks. These are tested with the latest development platforms, which contain an integrated programmable microprocessor that communicates with and controls these cores.
